Rampage of Appreciation

The Feast is done. Thanks to everyone who participated!

Here's something I think you'll enjoy, if you are interested in being able to mainfest what you want:

"We want you to feel the value of connecting with Non-Physical Energy, and APPRECIATION is the easiest and fastest way. When your desire to connect with the Non-Physical Energy is sufficient enough, you will find dozens of ways, in every hour, to flow your appreciation.

As I said before, I don't sell this book - you can get it at amazon or your local bookstore. I just think it's really appropriate for this time of year when it's so easy to fly off the short end and mess up yet another year with old friends or relatives just because we forget to appreciate.

The End of the Feast

Here are a couple books that I think might help you make your life brighter and more the-way-you-like-it.

You've heard me refer to the Esther Hicks/Abraham book, Ask and It Shall be Given. (see sidebar) That one alone is worth having - I refer to it every single day - I just open it randomly and see what it has to say. Sometimes there are three or four words that are all I need to see, other times a whole paragraph, other times a few pages. Any way you take it, it's a fabulous reminder how powerful we are, and how easy it is to get what we want - and to muck it up by forgetting we know how already!

The Feast Special Continued

I'm in San Blas, Mexico right now, loving the fine weather and new experiences that go along with a first-time visit to a country. And we just happened to come in the midst of the country's biggest holiday, the 9-day celebration of the Virgin de Guadalupe, so we've seen beautiful, colorful processions and celebrations every night since we got to Mexico a week ago, both in Puerto Vallarta and San Blas.

Mexico III

Yesterday we went up to Tepic, the capitol of this little state. It's not a regular tourist destination, so it was very different in flavor from Puerto Vallarta. We were the only gringos wherever we went, and it was funny to see some of the people stare at us - especially the kids - as if we were aliens from another planet. Must have seemed really weird to them to see people with such light skin, and me with my half-white, half-dark hair -

More Mexico

Yesterday I wrote up a long description of where I've been here in Mexico and some of the things we have done, but hit the wrong button and lost it all. Any more impetus to write further kinda disappeared for a while....

It's been a really weird experience, this vacationing! Literally every other trip I have ever taken in my life has been business-oriented in one way or another - go here to paint, go there to carve, go there to market my work, take a seminar, teach - this is the first time I have been able to just sit with friends and yeow-yeow, or laze at the beach or sleep in for hours - all sans guilt. Amazing.

Mexico!

After a week in LA with a friend, here I am at last in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I've heard so much about it over the years from old friends who are sailors and surfers who travel all over Mexico for the best sail, the best waves. I'm not so sure either Puerto Vallarta or San Blas, which is where I'll be soon, are good for waves - I don't see much action right now - but that can change as seasons shift.

Right now it's muggy and very hot - just walking the few blocks from my little hotel (40 bucks a night for a decent room overlooking the water and the usual amenitites and right in "old town" near shopping!) to an art store produced a quantity of water from my body I never knew was there. It's probably about the same temperature as Hawaii, but no trade winds. Makes for major sweat.

The art supplies, in case you want to know, were outrageously cheap - like, paint for only 3 dollars a tube, a 30 x 30 inch canvas for only 15 - wow! However, it's a good thing I brought the main bulk as they have very a limited range of items. I discovered I would not be able to bring oil paints as they are flammable - don't want to be thrown off the plane as a t--rist from my paint supplies! (Stop that woman! She's a threat to the country - she's carrying paint!) so I brought acrylics with no hassles from inspectors.

I behaved shamelessly by sleeping almost my whole first day away - time changes and some hold-over sniffles from LA made me grumpy and tired - but am now fine (I've been using a product called Airborne, developed by a cold-riddled second-grade teacher as a preventative against colds and flus from the kids - works great). We've had huge delicious meals for never more than about 30 bucks total for the two of us - I can handle that!

Tomorrow we go to San Blas for 3 weeks.
