I've Been Scolded!

Last week my buddy, Coach Lynn Ward, gave me a scolding. We were discussing our business and coaching backgrounds, and I told her that I had trained in Druid Dreaming and as a psychic healer in the 80's. She flipped out! "I didn't know that! And I was your coach for a year and a half! You haven't you told your readers about that, either - why not?"

I had no easy answer. After considering it for a while, I finally realized was that I hadn't said anything for a few reasons -

1. I very seldom talk about the esoteric trainings I've had because of the reactions I've gotten in the past. Not fun. And some are secret, anyway.

2. What I have trained in used to be considered so out in left field that I frankly didn't think it appropriate information for most of my clients or associates.

3. It's all such a naturally integrated part of my life that I don't think of it as unusual.

4. Most of all, I like to listen a whole lot more than I ever like to blab on about myself - what do I learn by listening to myself talk about what myself and I've done? The world is far more interesting to me than I am.

Well, those first two reasons, in this day and age of The Secret and all the hoo-ha about All is One and Quantum Physics, are a little outdated. It's more and more OK to mention the more "other wordly" arts - in actuality, the trainings I've had are now highly relevant. At last!

Since I was curious, myself, as to what I had done over these last 40 or so years since I began my quest for spiritual understanding, I made a list of what I had studied and been certfied in. So because some of the things I've been invloved in I'm not able to mention, here's a partial list.

Listed out like that it looks cool, doesn't it? Blows me away! In truth, some of those things were not to my taste or detail-interest, so I never finished the study. But I am amused to think what my office would look like if I had all the completion certificates up of the ones I did complete - I wouldn't have any wall space! I've never been a wall-person, though, so most of my certificates are in boxes somewhere -
