I was surprised when someone wrote
and asked about my note talking about North Korea sending missiles
over Hawaii today - I had thought it would be all over the news.
Apparently not!
I googled it, and was shocked to only see one article about it.
Yes, North Korea did plan to shoot lovely little packages of dissonance over us, and did - yesterday and last night. But apparently nothing that even came close or did any hard, thank goodness!
You might have thought my note about it was pretty weird and maybe even paranoid. Well, it was a very real thing for those of us here who knew about it, I assure you! Imagine how you'd feel if someone - even so far away - was making plans to send destruction falling onto you from the skies! It's a pretty strange sensation, knowing you can't do a darn thing about it aside from leaving.
I've been asked what I'd do if I only had a week to live - well, I've given that a lot of thought this week! And I decide every day that I'm already doing what I'd do. Feels good. What about you - would you change what you're doing?
The idea of independence strikes home for me today, especially as we seem to still be here and safe on a day that could have been a horror.
I love freedom - the freedom to do, be and have what I want, where, when, how and with whom I choose; and I love independence - being able to be on my own and live my rightful path while simultaneously creating in interdependence with the rest of the planet.
As I sit here feeling most grateful that Hawaii not been sent to the bottom of the sea, I send you forty bazillion tons of love and joy and hope that you have a wonderful weekend, and that you celebrate freedom and independence no matter where you live.
Hi Angela,
Your blog, as always, makes sense, just imagine knowing (about that Korean treat, and you live right there)
Freedom, Independence to me = POWER and LONGEVITY.
What would I do with one more week to live? and who said so?? I just would not *believe* that anyway, like you I guess - I *work* on the above 4 issues, 24/7 (PLIF or FLIP).
I have been faced here, serious earthquake territory: what to take should there still be time?? Passport I thought, Credit Card no use without ATM's left or working?? cash!!of course. My animals would be smart enough to move beforehand, but not I, sleeping through often.
Just as well that we don't know *everything* hovering over our heads. Astronomers do though, NASA does, they do not want to *scare* us, mass hysteria danger.
My very best, as always: Willy
